Site Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and schedule. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Quality Control: Inspect work and materials to ensure they meet standards and safety regulations, addressing any issues or defects.
• Technical Support: Provide on-site technical assistance and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations, conduct risk assessments, and manage safety inspections.
• Budget & Resource Management: Assist with planning, cost estimation, procurement, and track project costs to stay within budget.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain site records and provide progress updates to senior engineers and clients.
• Team Management: Supervise on-site teams, resolve disputes, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve issues to prevent delays or quality problems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience: Prior experience in construction engineering is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, BIM tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, codes, and safety standards.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for coordinating with teams and clients.
• Leadership: Experience managing teams and contractors to ensure quality and efficiency.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work outdoors on construction sites, with exposure to weather conditions.
• Travel may be required based on project location.
• Flexible working hours to meet project deadlines.
