Job Description: Medical Biller (Charge Entry & Payment Posting)

Job Title: Medical Biller Charge Entry & Payment Posting Location: Mohali Preference : Hands on Experience in EPIC

Job Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Medical Biller with expertise in Charge Entry and Payment Posting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate submission of charges and posting of payments to patient accounts, and collaborating with the team to ensure correct reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter charges into the system based on documentation provided by healthcare providers.
• Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts in a timely manner.
• Review and analyze EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) to ensure payments match claims.
• Resolve discrepancies between charges, payments, and patient accounts.
• Coordinate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to ensure payments are correctly processed.
• Monitor accounts for unpaid or underpaid claims and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with patient inquiries and provide support for billing-related issues.
• Prepare reports for management on billing activities and aged accounts.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in medical billing, specifically Charge Entry and Payment Posting.
• Knowledge of medical billing systems and claim submission processes.
• Strong understanding of insurance and payer rules and regulations.
• Experience with EOBs, charge posting, and claims follow-up.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Medical Billing or related field preferred.
