PRESS MACHINE OPERATION

• Tends hydraulic press machine that presses SS sheets to form a desired shape component.
• Also, to operate cooling tower, air compressor and other small hand tools which are prat of pressing operation set-up.
• Selection of particular model Tools (Die and Punch assembly) for a particular model of component (example: PHE plate model)
• Loads die-punch assembly on the machine by using hoist /crane and/or hand pallet and/or by hand.
• Ensure alignment of tool with machine.
• Selection of particular size of input raw-material for a particular model of component (example: SS cut-to-size plate)
• Loading of input raw-material on the tool.
• Ensure placement and alignment of material in-line to the tool.
• Selection of program from control panel for the desired component.
• Operate the machine as per pre-defined SOP.
• Remove the pressed component after operation. Stack the semi-finished/finished components on pallet with proper identification and quantity count.
• Releases press and removes clamped tools from press bed.

ROUTINE/DAILY ACTIVITIES

• Skilled independent hydraulic Press machine operations
• Safely operate the machine
• Adhere to SOP, Work Instructions and Additional Instructions
• Guide the assistant / helper in the machine
• Training to assistants/helpers and other Trainees
• Ensure routine maintenance and preventive maintenance of the machine and Tools (Die/punch/fixtures etc.), and other utilities connected with the machine.
• Basic upkeep/House keeping of the machine & its surrounding Area
• Operate the machine in additional shifts/extended shifts/holidays etc. as instructed by the Supervisor
• Work logging/register in Log/Register

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Able to handle CNC hydraulic machine operations independently often tedious, exerting and patience required.
• Teamwork work in tandem with the assistant/helper
• Communication skills
• Attention to details for meeting accuracy & quality.
• Able to work extended hours – OT etc. to meet customer deliveries.
• Training /Coaching -Assistants
• Basic disciplines – PPE, Plant rules, Machine Safety etc. as per HSE requirement
• Subordination - Follow instructions from superior.
