Test Engineer - Data Automation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Over 2 years of experience as a Test Engineer or similar role, with a focus on data automation.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, JIRA, Jenkins, and Apache JMeter.
• Knowledge of data testing frameworks and tools like Apache Nifi, Talend, or Informatica.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with ETL processes and data validation.
• Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and big data technologies.
• Analytical Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve data issues.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate bug reporting.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with development teams and document test results.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to team goals.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in an Agile environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Additional Skills:
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques.
• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive test documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: ISTQB, ISEB, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience: Experience with testing large-scale data systems and developing complex queries for data transformation extracts.
