Experienced Civil Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team for Government projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and proven expertise in preparing comprehensive Project plans, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), billing documentation, and other relevant reports.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various phases of civil engineering projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Further you will be working as the Project Manager for the existing project in hand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed project plans outlining timelines, milestones, and resources required for successful project execution.
• Develop accurate and comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on project requirements.
• Handle billing processes, including preparing, verifying, and submitting invoices to clients.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
• Perform site inspections to assess project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
• Analyze project costs, identify potential risks, and provide recommendations for cost control.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, codes, and standards.
• Generate regular progress reports and present them to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records for future reference.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project planning, BOQ preparation, and billing.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Zoho Projects, MS Excel etc.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on large-scale civil engineering projects.
• Familiarity with tendering processes and contract management.
• Hands on experience of dealing with Government officers and authorities.
• Certification in project management is an advantage.
