Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Email Security Specialist to lead and enhance our organizations email security framework. This role requires deep expertise in Enterprise Vault and Cisco IronPort, with a proven track record of managing complex email security systems. The ideal candidate will have 78 years of experience in email security, threat management, and compliance, and will play a critical role in protecting the organization against email-based threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Security Administration

• Design, implement, and maintain email security solutions, including Cisco IronPort (Secure Email Gateway) for advanced threat protection and anti-spam measures.
• Administer and optimize Enterprise Vault for email archiving, storage management, and regulatory compliance.
• Configure and enforce email encryption, data loss prevention (DLP), and advanced filtering mechanisms.

Threat Mitigation and Response

• Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate email-based threats such as phishing, ransomware, and malware.
• Lead email security incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Stay updated on the latest email security threats and implement measures to address vulnerabilities.

Compliance and Policy Management

• Develop and enforce email security policies to comply with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection laws.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and strengthen security posture.

System Integration and Optimization

• Integrate email security systems with broader cybersecurity tools such as SIEM platforms, endpoint protection solutions, and firewalls.
• Ensure seamless functionality of Enterprise Vault and Cisco IronPort within the organization's IT infrastructure.
• Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and configurations to enhance performance and security.

Leadership and Training

• Lead email security projects, providing strategic insights to enhance overall security protocols.
• Mentor junior team members and provide training on email security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive security strategy.

Key Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

• Extensive experience with Cisco IronPort (Secure Email Gateway) and Enterprise Vault.
• In-depth knowledge of email security protocols (SMTP, DMARC, DKIM, SPF, TLS).
• Strong understanding of encryption, data loss prevention, and email threat detection systems.

Experience:

• 78 years of hands-on experience in email security or a similar role.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale email security systems in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and cloud-based email solutions.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Cisco Certified Specialist Email Security.
• Symantec Enterprise Vault Administration Certification.
• CISSP, CISM, or other advanced security certifications.
