Role & responsibilities
- The Head of ESG will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and
oversight of Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives within the organization. This
position plays a crucial role in ensuring that the company operates in a sustainable and socially
responsible manner, aligning with global ESG standards and best practices.
- Develop a comprehensive ESG strategy aligned with the organization's overall business objectives. Identify and prioritize key ESG issues relevant to company's stakeholders.
- Identify and manage environmental impact areas, such as carbon emissions, waste management, resource consumption, and renewable energy integration.
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, ethics policies, and accountability mechanisms to ensure compliance and responsible business practices.
- Lead the integration of ESG considerations into various business functions, including finance, operations, human resources, and supply chain. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ESG principles into decision-making processes and daily operations.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees, and regulatory bodies, to promote transparency and address sustainability concerns.
- Oversee the preparation and publication of ESG reports and disclosures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities that may impact the business. Work with risk management teams to develop mitigation strategies and enhance resilience.
- Stay abreast of evolving ESG regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure the company's ESG activities align with relevant frameworks and guidelines.
- Conduct training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of ESG issues.
- Foster a culture of sustainability and responsibility throughout the organization.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., sustainability, environmental science, business, etc.);
advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, or related roles, with a track record of successful
strategy development and implementation for minimum of 8 to 10 years.
- Strong understanding of global ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Leadership experience, with the ability to collaborate across functions and drive change within an organization.
