Manager / Dy. Manager - Category Procurement Leader Castings

Role & responsibilities

1. Category Strategy Development -

• Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for casting-related categories such as raw materials (RM), forging & machining (F&M), and packaging.
• Focus on high-value (Category A) and high-priority (Category B) parts to maximize procurement efficiency.

2. Market Analysis - Conduct detailed market analyses to track trends in pricing, supplier capacity, and technological innovations.

3. Supplier Performance Management - Establish and monitor key supplier performance metrics for quality, delivery, cost, and compliance.

4. Cost Benchmarking - Lead cost benchmarking initiatives to identify competitive pricing opportunities within the category.

5. Contract Management - Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring clarity in terms related to pricing, quality, and service levels..

6. Supplier Development - Partner with the Supplier Development & Innovation Lead to build supplier capabilities, focusing on process improvements and quality enhancement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 5 years focused on castings or similar categories.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cost benchmarking.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing competitive contracts.
