CNC Production Supervisor

Day to day production activites, Production reports, manpower handling

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of CNC Operators:

Supervise and lead a team of CNC operators and machinists, ensuring they are properly trained and meet performance expectations.

Assign work to operators, ensuring that each team member has the resources needed to complete their tasks efficiently.

Monitor operator performance, providing guidance, feedback, and training as needed to improve skills and productivity.

CNC Machine Operations:

Oversee the operation of CNC machines to ensure they are running efficiently and producing parts within specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part production to minimize downtime.

Ensure machines are properly set up for each production run, including loading the correct programs, fixtures, and tools.

Production Planning and Scheduling:

Coordinate production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of parts while optimizing machine utilization.

Monitor the production flow, ensuring that production targets are met and that products meet customer specifications.

Work closely with the production manager and planning team to ensure alignment of production schedules with customer demand and resource availability.

Quality Control:

Ensure parts meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and monitoring the quality of the work produced by operators.

Verify that operators are following standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality guidelines.

Investigate any quality issues or discrepancies, work with the team to determine root causes, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Maintenance and Safety:

Ensure the proper maintenance of CNC machines by following a preventive maintenance schedule and coordinating repairs when needed.

Promote a culture of safety within the production team by enforcing safety protocols and guidelines.

Monitor compliance with safety regulations, ensuring that all team members wear necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow safe working practices.

Team Development:

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for CNC operators and production staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Conduct performance reviews for CNC operators, offering feedback, identifying areas for improvement, and recognizing accomplishments.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment by motivating the team to meet or exceed production goals.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly production reports for management review.

Ensure proper documentation for work instructions, setup sheets, and machine logs are maintained and accessible."
