Senior Manager - US Partnership Tax

Purpose of the role: We seek an experienced US Senior Tax Manager for a 100% remote position out of our Mumbai office. The ideal candidate must have relevant experience; possess excellent analytical skills and effective communication and interpersonal skills and be able to present him/herself effectively to clients. This candidate will play a pivotal role in helping direct and shape our partnership practice.

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage team members in the preparation of federal and state partnership income tax returns by utilizing specialized tax software
• Advise clients on partnership issues and be able to research technical questions regarding partnership tax compliance
• Assist in the preparation of proposals for partnership tax compliance prospective clients
• Manage team members in the preparation of federal and state partnership tax returns along with required disclosures
• Calculate estimated tax requirements and advise clients on estimated tax Advise clients on diverse projects as needed such as tax provisions and nexus analysis, etc.
• Conduct research in areas such as foreign tax credit planning, treaty analysis, and international disclosures
• Prepare responses to different tax authorities requests and inquiries

Preferred candidate profile:

• A self-motivating personality
• Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
• Excels in project management, people management, and organisational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrate understanding of Go Systems Tax preparation software
• At least 5 years of experience in international corporate taxation at a public accounting firm
• Experience in US partnership taxation at a public accounting firm
• Experience in federal, state tax return review, tax regulations, tax compliance and tax consulting services
• Understanding of US and foreign partnerships with partner allocations
• Understanding of foreign reporting requirements including information returns and withholding requirements
• Experience with Forms , 1065, 1042 (payments to non-US persons), 8805 (foreign partners information statement), and 8621 (passive foreign investment companies).

Education/Professional Qualifications:

• A Master of Science in Taxation or a Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred
• Certified Public Accountant license or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred
