UX/UI Designer

Role Summary:

We are looking for a UX/UI Designer specializing in dashboard design to create intuitive, visually appealing, and actionable dashboards. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, conducting research to determine best practices, and designing dashboards that present technical, financial, and team performance data in an impactful way.

Responsibilities:

Research & Strategy

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for dashboard objectives and target audiences.
• Research industry best practices for data visualization and dashboard usability.
• Identify key metrics (KPIs) for technical, financial, and performance-related dashboards.

Design

• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Design layouts that balance aesthetics with clarity, ensuring dashboards are easy to interpret.
• Choose appropriate visualization techniques (e.g., bar charts, line graphs, heatmaps) for the data.

Implementation Support

• Prepare detailed design specifications, including annotations and user flows, for developers.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the final product aligns with the design vision.
• Test dashboards post-implementation and provide design feedback for refinements.

Stakeholder Communication

• Present designs and prototypes to stakeholders and iterate based on feedback.
• Educate teams on the rationale behind design choices, ensuring alignment on goals.

Key Skills:

UX/UI Design Expertise

• Strong knowledge of design principles for data-heavy interfaces.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design for web-based dashboards.

Data Visualization Knowledge

• Understanding of various charting methods and their appropriate use cases.
• Familiarity with data visualization frameworks or tools like Power BI, Tableau, or AWS QuickSight (optional but beneficial).

Research & Analysis

• Ability to translate raw data requirements into meaningful visual components.
• Skill in benchmarking and applying user-centered design principles.

Collaboration & Communication

• Experience working in cross-functional teams, especially with developers and analysts.
• Strong verbal and visual communication skills to explain complex concepts effectively.

Attention to Detail

• Ability to design for accuracy, ensuring data is presented clearly and precisely.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on dashboards or data-heavy applications.
• Previous work on dashboards for technical, financial, or operational use cases.
• Education:
• Degree in UX Design, Data Visualization, or a related field.
• Tools:
• Familiarity with prototyping tools and basic knowledge of how data flows into dashboards.
