Airbag Design Engineer

Primary Skills:

• Experience in the design & development of Air Bag, including CAD design, system sizing and packaging. (Preferably Catia V5 experience)
• Perform Airbag system sizing and manage packaging according to customer requirements.
• Analyze Airbag System requirements and prepare compliance matrix for customer RFI/RFQ’s for DAB in steering wheel, PAB and KAB in IP, SAB in seat, CAB in roof rail.

Secondary Skill:

• Ability to perform DFMEA & preparation of DVP&R
• Strong problem solving ability and good communication & coordination skills
• Good Understanding of Passive Safety standards and requirements
• Knowledge about metal parts forming, plastic parts injection and associated design requirements

• Must handle airbag projects & experience in dealing with customer
• Coordinate tasks internally within Mobis to meet the project schedule targets.
• Benchmark system & performance evaluation for Airbag system
• Initial Root cause analysis for field & in plant issues for Airbag
