Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced New Product Development (NPD)
Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in
new product development, particularly within the field of Ecstatic PLC and mechanical
engineering and must be a graduate of IIT (Indian Institute of Technology). As an NPD
Manager, you will lead the design, development, and successful launch of new products,
collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure market readiness, technical
excellence, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead and manage the end-to-end process of new product development, from
concept to commercialization, with a focus on Ecstatic PLC systems and
mechanical engineering.
● Conduct detailed market research and analysis to identify emerging trends,
customer needs, and competitive landscapes for innovative product
opportunities.
● Develop and execute comprehensive product development roadmaps, ensuring
timely delivery of product milestones and effective resource allocation.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, design, engineering, and
production, to define product requirements, specifications, and design feasibility.
● Drive the creation and optimization of mechanical designs and systems, ensuring
they meet functional, quality, and manufacturability standards.
● Oversee product prototyping, testing, and validation processes, ensuring
products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
● Lead the Ecstatic PLC integration process, including hardware and software
specifications, system design, and functional testing.
● Manage the risk analysis process for new products and ensure that potential
issues are identified and addressed in the design phase.
● Monitor the product development lifecycle, ensuring that projects remain within
scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
● Conduct design reviews, ensuring product quality and compliance with technical
specifications and regulatory requirements.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors,
customers, and internal teams.
● Mentor and guide junior engineers and product development teams to enhance
skills and drive innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
● A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ecstatic PLC, or a related field, from the
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
● 10-15 years of hands-on experience in new product development, with a focus
on mechanical engineering, Ecstatic PLC, and system integration.
● Proven expertise in product design, development, and lifecycle management,
especially for complex mechanical systems and PLC-based products.
● Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and product testing methodologies.
● Extensive experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and product
simulation tools.
● Deep understanding of Ecstatic PLC systems and their integration into new
product designs.
● Excellent leadership and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability
to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
● Ability to drive innovative solutions in product design and development while
maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
● Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts
to non-technical stakeholders.
● Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to
product development, quality, and safety.
Preferred Skills:
● Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly
(DFA).
● Knowledge of industry-specific standards for mechanical systems, automation,
or PLC technology.
● Experience with ERP and project management software tools.
● Masters degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
