Business Title: Manager - India Finance and Accounts
Level - Manager II
Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid)

Required Qualifications:

Education:
Chartered Accountant (CA) and member of ICAI


Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong experience in India-specific tax laws, including GST, Income Tax, STPI and Transfer Pricing.
Experience in handling tax audits, compliances (FEMA, MCA, RBI), and liaising with tax authorities.
Prior experience in managing finance for a subsidiary of an international company, preferably in the IT industry.


Technical Skills:
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
In-depth understanding of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and US GAAP.
Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliance in India.


Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both local and global teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Accounting (AP, AR, GL, Payroll, FA)
  • Ensure smooth day to day accounting
  • Month End and Year End Book closure
  • Statutory Financial Statements and audit support
  • GL review and Financial Analysis
  • Coordinate the prepare regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Review of assigned GLs and prepare and publish Variance analysis and GL reconciliation.
  • Transfer Pricing, Intercompany adjustments
  • Ensure timely closure of activities related to revenue recognition with utmost accuracy
  • Co-ordination with stakeholders and different teams towards AR aging, WIP etc.
  • Review of project activations and cleanup of old projects
  • Review of Contract setup activities, related to tax coding

• Tax Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with Indian direct and indirect tax regulations, including GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, and any other local tax requirements.
  • Prepare and file tax returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.) and ensure timely payments to tax authorities.
  • Review and manage tax audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Advise on tax planning, structuring, and implications of various business decisions from a tax perspective.

• Internal Controls and Compliance:
  • Maintain a system of internal controls to safeguard company assets, including reviewing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements, such as the Companies Act, Tax Laws, and Labor Laws in India.
  • Prepare and manage all statutory and tax audits and ITGC audits, liaising with external auditors and legal counsel as required.

• Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor the local finance team, ensuring a high level of performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations across the organization.

• Liaison with Parent Company:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for financial and tax-related issues with the US parent company s finance team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial statements as per US GAAP, and provide necessary support to the parent company in relation to the India subsidiary.
