Java Developer

Job Description *

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex Java-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented programming, modern frameworks, and large-scale enterprise applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development & Design:
• Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance Java applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Design and implement APIs and services with RESTful interfaces.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality standards.
• System Architecture:
• Participate in the architectural design of new systems and refactoring of existing codebases.
• Help drive decisions around system architecture and technology stacks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Testing & Debugging:
• Implement automated unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
• Debug and resolve issues quickly in the production environment.
• Ensure applications are secure and follow best practices in software development.
• Collaboration & Mentorship:
• Collaborate with other developers and teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to team members.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest Java trends, tools, and technologies to improve development processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in development processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development (Java 8 or newer).
• Strong experience with modern Java frameworks such as Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), Hibernate, or other enterprise frameworks.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
• Tools & Technologies:
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience working with distributed systems or high-availability platforms.
• Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python, Scala) is a plus.
• Familiarity with big data technologies or frameworks like Hadoop, Spark is a plus.
