Mobile Development Lead

Role Overview:

We are seeking a multi-skilled, dynamic, and hands-on Tech Lead / Manager to lead our Mobile Application Development team. This role requires strong expertise in Native Android development and proficiency in at least one hybrid framework (React Native or Flutter). As a Tech Lead/Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical and strategic direction of our mobile app projects, managing cross-functional teams, and supporting pre-sales and client presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership & Development

  •  Lead the design, architecture, and development of mobile applications with a primary focus on Native Android and hybrid technologies (React Native/Flutter).

  •  Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices for scalable, maintainable, and efficient mobile app development.

  •  Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile app development.

2. Project Management & Team Leadership

  •  Manage and mentor a team of mobile app developers, ensuring high productivity, morale, and collaboration within the team.

  •  Define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

  •  Ensure timely delivery of high-quality mobile applications by effectively coordinating between developers, designers, QA engineers, and other teams.

3. Client Engagement & Pre-Sales Support

  •  Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to clients, showcasing our mobile app development capabilities.

  •  Collaborate with the sales and pre-sales teams to provide technical insights, feasibility analysis, estimates and solution proposals for client requirements.

  •  Build strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and propose mobile solutions that drive value.

4. Process Optimization & Quality Assurance

  •  Establish and implement development processes that drive efficiency, quality, and consistency in project delivery.

  •  Oversee QA activities to ensure a seamless, bug-free user experience in all mobile applications.

  •  Lead the adoption of CI/CD practices to streamline development and deployment.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  •  Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all mobile projects.

  •  Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement by sharing knowledge, conducting training, and facilitating team workshops.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  •  Technical Skills:

  •  Strong hands-on experience in Native Android development (Kotlin/Java).

  •  Proficiency in one or more hybrid mobile frameworks: React Native or Flutter.

  •  Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices.

  •  Experience with integrating mobile applications with APIs, third-party services, and backend systems.

  •  Knowledge of mobile CI/CD tools and processes.

  •  Managerial & Soft Skills:

  •  Proven experience leading and managing mobile development teams, with a demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and innovation.

  •  Strong organizational skills, with experience in project planning, timeline management, and resource allocation.

  •  Exceptional communication skills for interacting effectively with clients and delivering presentations.

  •  Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  •  Additional Requirements:

  •  Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  •  8+ years of overall experience in mobile application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  •  Track record of delivering successful mobile apps, ideally with examples of applications on Google Play or App Store.

Preferred Skills:

  •  Knowledge of cross-platform development challenges and solutions.

  •  Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Firebase) for mobile backends.

  •  Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, and mobile app analytics.
