Engineering Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager with an overall experience of 9 - 13 years including a minimum of 6 years of hands-on coding experience.

Requirements:

• Must have 2+ years of people management experience required.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Python or Java coding; involvement with AWS and Microservices is a plus.
• Good to have front-end framework knowledge like React or Angular.
• Leading and proposing necessary processes to ensure a structured and predictable approach to software Engineering.
• Expertise in defining, driving the technical strategy and development methodology.
• Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time. Implement a system for monitoring and tracking project progress
• Experience in balancing, creating, repaying technical debt and developing new features. Use technology and automation to help manage technical debt.
• Cooperating with organizational leadership to develop an annual budget for the engineering department.
• Assessing the tools and technologies required for efficient project development.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of budget allocations.
• Designing with leadership to allocate budgets for tools, training and staffing needed to support
• Setting clear expectations, goals and objectives for each team.
• Ensuring a balanced distribution of work among teams to optimize productivity.
• Encouraging collaboration between teams to promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional problem-solving.
• Implementing performance metrics to monitor the progress of each team.
