Role Overview:
- The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in aligning client business needs with technical solutions, focusing on the lending and Loan Origination Systems (LOS) domain.
- This position requires strong analytical skills, deep domain expertise in Banking and Financial Services, and experience with Agile methodologies.
- The ideal candidate will act as the central point of communication between clients and the delivery team, ensuring high-quality solutions and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all client interactions related to software solutions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their pain points and translating them into actionable requirements.
- Provide training and demonstrations of delivered solutions to clients, ensuring proper adoption and usability.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Lead Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and detailed requirements workshops.
- Analyze and document business requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop comprehensive documentation such as Epics, User Stories, Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), requirement trackers, and other project artifacts.
Solution Design & Delivery:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to propose effective and scalable solutions that address client business challenges.
- Work closely with technical teams to validate designs, confirm feasibility, and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs and "show and tell" sessions for clients to validate deliverables and gather feedback.
Agile Project Management:
- Actively participate in daily scrum calls, stand-ups, and sprint planning sessions.
- Track and report progress on sprints, highlighting risks, dependencies, and issues to project management.
- Facilitate retrospective sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of Agile processes.
Technical Understanding & Collaboration
- Work with integration teams to design API connections, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
- Provide input and validation for test plans, test cases, and UAT activities to ensure solution quality.
- Utilize tools such as Jira, Postman, Draw. io, and Figma for workflow management and documentation.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the bridge between internal technical teams and external clients, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
- Provide proactive updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards during project execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum qualification: B.Com, BBA, M.Com, BMS, or MBA in Finance or related fields.
- Domain Expertise - Extensive knowledge of Banking and Financial Services, with a focus on lending and Loan Origination Systems.
- Understanding of credit policies, underwriting workflows, and financial compliance regulations.
Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with software development components, API integrations, and system architecture.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as:
- Project Management: Jira, Trello.
- API Testing: Postman.
- Visualization: Draw.io, Figma.
- Documentation: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace.
- Analytical & Documentation Skills
- Expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements with precision.
- Ability to create user journey maps, process flows, and detailed technical specifications.
- Agile & Project Management
- Experience in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely project delivery.
Communication & Soft Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among diverse teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timely delivery of sprints and milestones with minimal defects or delays.
- High client satisfaction scores based on responsiveness, quality of solutions, and engagement.
- Comprehensive documentation with adherence to organizational and client standards.
- Successful adoption and usability of delivered solutions by clients.
- Identification and resolution of project risks and dependencies.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong understanding of lending processes, including application processing, underwriting, disbursement, and collections.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as RBI guidelines and NBFC compliance standards (preferred).
- Willingness to travel for client meetings or project workshops, if required
