Customer Service : Providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. Menu Knowledge : Familiarity with the menu, including the ability to explain dishes, recommend specials, and accommodate dietary restrictions. Order Taking : Accurately recording and conveying customer orders to the kitchen, ensuring that special requests are communicated clearly. Food and Beverage Presentation : Ensuring that dishes and beverages are presented neatly and aesthetically before serving them to customers. Table Setting and Maintenance : Setting tables, arranging silverware, glassware, and napkins, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Wine and Beverage Service : Offering wine recommendations, taking beverage orders, and serving drinks, including proper wine service, pouring, and decanting. Course Timing : Coordinating the timing of courses to ensure that guests receive their meals promptly and courses are synchronized. Up-selling and Promotion : Promoting additional items, specials, or desserts to increase revenue. Billing and Payment : Presenting bills to customers, processing payments, and ensuring accurate change or payment processing via credit card or other payment methods. Problem Resolution : Addressing customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking resolutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
