Financial Controller (Managerial Position)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:
• Provide necessary information and validation for preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing insights and recommendations for corrective action.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Partner with Unit head to provide necessary information for annual budgeting process for the plant, working closely with department heads to establish realistic financial goals.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly forecasts and review with plant leadership to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
3. Cost Control & Analysis:
• Analyse plant expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
• Oversee the costing process, including standard cost setting, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Monitor production costs, material variances, labour efficiency, and overhead utilization.
4. Internal Controls & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures, as well as local regulations.
• Oversee internal controls and safeguard the plants assets, including inventory and capital expenditures.
• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
5. Business Partnering:
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and operations team to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor plant performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, including capital projects & process improvements
• Participate in product costing process to make offer to the customers and analyse pre/ post production cost variance
• Lead credit control functions to set up credit limit & assess payment terms and actual performance against and hence control on shipments release
6. Inventory Management:
• Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate valuation and efficient use of resources.
• Work closely with the supply chain and production teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce working capital.
