Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Institutional Sales: Build and execute a national strategy to target B2B institutional clients retail chains, hospitality groups, hospitals, e-commerce firms, and brand-owned outlets.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, pitch product offerings, and close high-value institutional contracts.
  • Client Mapping & Segmentation: Analyze potential verticals (FMCG, QSR, pharma, retail, etc.) where compostable packaging is applicable.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation, qualification, technical alignment, commercial negotiations to order closure.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the technical, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of supply capabilities with customer needs.
  • Team Management (Optional): Build and manage a small team of regional institutional sales executives as the vertical grows.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Deliver monthly/quarterly sales forecasts, performance dashboards, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
  • Compliance Awareness: Stay updated on plastic ban regulations and sustainability mandates to drive compliance-driven sales.

Key Requirements

  • 8–12 years of sales experience in institutional/B2B sales, preferably in packaging, FMCG, retail, or sustainability sectors.
  • Proven track record of selling to procurement heads, sustainability officers, or corporate buyers in large organizations.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes for enterprise clients or government agencies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Passionate about sustainability and the circular economy.
  • Willingness to travel across India as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Familiarity with sustainability compliance (BPI, CPCB, GRS, TUV, etc.) will be a strong advantage.
  • Prior experience in launching eco-friendly or compostable products is a bonus.
