Job Title : Optimizely Specialist
Location : Pune
Experience : 3 to 4 years
Job Overview :
The Optimizely Specialist is responsible for managing website experimentation, A/B testing, and personalization initiatives to drive user engagement, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and overall business performance. The role involves collaborating with marketing, product, and development teams to create and execute data-driven experiments and analyze their impact.
Key Responsibilities :
1. A/B Testing & Experimentation :
- Plan, design, and execute A/B, multivariate (MVT), and split tests using the Optimizely platform to enhance website performance and user experience.
- Define testing hypotheses and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders (marketing, product, UX/UI).
- Implement tests and experiments directly or in collaboration with development teams.
- Monitor active experiments and troubleshoot any technical issues.
2. Personalization Strategy :
- Develop and implement personalized website experiences for different audience segments using Optimizely's personalization tools.
- Identify and define key customer segments based on user behavior, demographics, and other criteria to deliver targeted content.
- Analyze and optimize personalized experiences for maximum effectiveness.
3. Data Analysis & Insights :
- Analyze experiment results to determine statistical significance, impact on KPIs, and overall business performance.
- Provide clear, data-driven recommendations to improve conversion rates, engagement, and other business outcomes.
- Use Optimizely's reporting features as well as other tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau) to provide detailed post-test analysis and insights.
4. Collaboration & Strategy :
- Work closely with marketing, design, and product teams to align optimization efforts with business goals.
- Participate in the ideation and prioritization of testing strategies based on user behavior data and analytics.
- Maintain a backlog of testing ideas and hypotheses, prioritizing based on potential impact, feasibility, and business needs.
- Communicate test results and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5. Technical Setup & Maintenance :
- Work with developers and IT teams to ensure proper implementation and tracking of Optimizely experiments and personalization efforts.
- Troubleshoot any technical challenges related to the Optimizely platform, including integration with other tools (e.g., CMS, analytics platforms).
- Ensure that all tests and personalizations are properly tracked and measured through appropriate KPIs.
6. Optimization Best Practices :
- Stay current with industry best practices for A/B testing, CRO, and personalization.
- Ensure that the team adheres to best practices in experiment design, data collection, and analysis.
- Advocate for a data-driven, experimental culture within the organization.
Skills & Qualifications :
Technical Skills :
- Extensive hands-on experience with - Optimizely- (Experimentation and Personalization modules).
- Proficiency in - A/B testing methodologies- and understanding of statistical significance.
- Knowledge of - web analytics tools- such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
- Basic understanding of - HTML, CSS, JavaScript- , and the ability to work with development teams on test implementation.
- Familiarity with other optimization tools and platforms (VWO, Google Optimize) is a plus.
Analytical Skills :
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Experience in using analytics tools to track user behavior and measure test outcomes.
- Experience in analyzing test results and making actionable recommendations to drive conversion improvements.
Soft Skills :
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex testing strategies and results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tests and personalization efforts simultaneously.
- Creativity and innovation in proposing new optimization and personalization opportunities.
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and/or A/B testing roles, with hands-on experience using Optimizely
or similar tools.
- Proven track record of driving successful testing and optimization initiatives.
- Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or digital product environments is a plus.
