Senior WSO2 API Manager (9-12 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using WSO2 API Manager.

- Define API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger) and ensure adherence to API standards and best practices.

- Implement API security measures, including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.

- Develop and maintain API documentation and developer portals.

- Integrate APIs with various backend systems, such as databases, message queues, and enterprise applications.

- Deploy and manage APIs across different environments (development, testing, production).

- Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues.

- Manage the entire API lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and retirement.

- Monitor API performance and usage metrics.

- Analyze API traffic and identify areas for improvement.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in API management and integration.

- Contribute to the development and improvement of API management processes and best practices.

Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in Middleware/Integration technologies.

- At least 5 full life cycle WSO2 API Manager implementations (Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment).

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API gateways.

- Expertise in WSO2 API Manager features, including API creation, publishing, versioning, security, and monetization.

- Experience with API security best practices (OAuth 2.0, JWT).

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Groovy) for API development and automation.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
