Service Now Developer (Grade 6)
Job Purpose
You will play a crucial role in contributing to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS with a vision of bringing people, processes, and data together, reliably, and easily, to enable all Zeiss employees to work efficiently - on one platform.
The ServiceNow Team (CIT-GP) is responsible for operating and customizing/developing Enterprise Service Management & Custom App Development.
As a ServiceNow Developer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and implementing various ServiceNow modules to support our organization's IT Service Management (ITSM) and business process automation needs.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaboration in the development of the overall system, but responsible for the development of modules and applications within the overall system
- Implementation of the technical solution/change agreed with the users, including the use of new solutions and taking into account connected systems, interfaces and dependencies within the system or to other systems and maintaining the functionality of the overall architecture
- Ensuring the concept creation and execution of developer tests and integration tests as part of the implementation of solutions/changes
- Ensuring the handover of the developed solutions to downstream departments (testing/training, requesters)
- Implementation and, if necessary, management of support (incl. hypercare) after go-live
- Ensuring content documentation and system documentation
- Responsible for the implementation of individual projects within the IT service management tools
- Responsible for the implementation of sub-projects in projects relating to IT service management tools
- Ensuring that the supported applications are operated in accordance with the contract and requirements
- Ensuring trouble-free adaptations (release upgrades) or changes to the productive solutions
- Ensuring system functionality (incl. interfaces) in the quality environment for non-regression tests
- Analyzing complex errors/malfunctions incl. debugging and troubleshooting as well as advising Application Specialist in the analysis and resolution of malfunctions
- Analyzing & solving malfunctions in 2ndL A and B support (if required, managing external support analysts)
- Carrying out (release) upgrades
Education & Work Experience
- A degree in computer science or a comparable degree
- 3-6 years professional experience in a relevant environment (full-stack development)
- Sound technical/functional knowledge of the systems/applications supported (ServiceNow), in an ideal case SecOps and ITSM
- ITIL Foundation Level certification
- Sound programming knowledge (Java Script) in particular object orientation
- Knowledge of software architectures and solution competence
- Very good written and spoken German/English skills
- Very good comprehension and analytical thinking skills
- Systematic problem solving
- Ability to deal with conflict
- Ability to work in a tea
