Reponsilbilities:
1)Oversee and Perform calculations in Periodic Valuation/new projects
- Ensure that the required data is available for monthly valuation in time in required format.
- Processing of information using reasonable knowledge of actuarial principles and methods.
- Plan, direct and perform various computations using models
- Modifying models as required with appropriate documentation
-Run complex models independently
2)Compile and analyse results for Periodic Valuation/new projects
- Analysing results
- Ensuring appropriate checking of results
- Recommending changes required based on checks
- Performing cause-effect analysis to check reasonability
3)Responses to queries
- Resolving simple queries
- Effectively helping other teams understand the results
- Understand, explain / overcome implication of results and limitations of models
Identify relationships and interactions among data to create information
- Participating effectively in the discussions and discussing moderately complex technical information in lay or business terms as per requirement
4)Compile and analyse results for Experience Analysis
- Compile Results of various experience analysis
- Analyse the trends and steps to be taken to control deterioration of some of the rates.
5)Reporting
- Drafting sections allocated of yearly reporting to IRDA,
- Drafting sections allocated of quarterly reports to Board such as Solvency Report, FCR etc
- Assisting other teams with drafting their sections of reporting (if required).
- Ensure correctness of various D returns prepared by Juniors
6)Managing the team on a task by task basis
- Plan and direct execution of a project with guidance
- Guide junior members on running simpler models
- Clarify work objectives and deliverables to ensure a clear understanding of business requirements
- Set priorities for tasks in order of importance
- Ensure objectives are set and agreed on and projects are delivered within negotiated tolerances
- Make sound decisions about how best to do work so that it has the greatest business benefit with some supervision
- Set personal and team goals and monitor their attainment
-Provide inputs to performance review of junior staff
