Act as an ambassador for DP World, embodying the Founder's Principles and values while fostering innovation, collaboration, and the highest safety standards in environmental and sustainability efforts.
Environment & Sustainability Initiatives:
- Lead and implement environment and sustainability excellence initiatives across the SCO region.
- Develop and monitor DP World Environmental Programs and Standards.
Habitat Management & Education:
- Promote, educate, and support projects on habitat compensation, mitigation, and management.
- Guide regional and business units in creating effective environmental management plans.
Governance & ESG Compliance:
- Develop governance mechanisms for environmental, decarbonization, and ESG parameters.
- Manage and report ESG metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
Environmental Assessments & Mitigation:
- Review and support environmental assessments, including air quality, noise, ecology, and water quality.
- Ensure business units assess environmental impacts and implement mitigation and monitoring plans.
Training & Mentorship:
- Mentor and assist teams on oceans protection projects, spanning ports, terminals, and logistics.
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs for staff.
Monitoring & Incident Management:
- Oversee environmental monitoring and reporting for operational entities.
- Provide technical assistance on environmental incidents and ensure corrective actions.
- Create, manage, and disseminate environmental bulletins and programs as needed.- Deploy and monitor the SCO region's 5-year decarbonization strategy in alignment with Group goals.
Carbon Management & Energy Efficiency:
- Deploy and monitor the SCO region's 5-year decarbonization strategy in alignment with Group goals.
- Advise entities on energy reduction strategies and support electrification projects.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with regional departments to support joint initiatives and ensure environmental integration in projects.
Due Diligence & Risk Assessment:
- Plan and manage environmental due diligence for property acquisitions, assessing risks and liabilities.
- Support energy reduction business cases within the region.
Emerging Environmental Priorities:
- Lead emerging environmental projects assigned by group or regional teams.
- Create, manage, and disseminate environmental bulletins and programs as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Environmental and Sustainability Expertise
- Project and Stakeholder Management
- Technical Proficiency - environmental assessments, monitoring systems, carbon accounting, and using tools for energy and sustainability reporting.
- Leadership and Training: Skilled in mentoring teams, delivering environmental education, and promoting awareness for sustainability initiatives.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Capability to align regional goals with global objectives, anticipate environmental risks, and propose innovative mitigation strategies
Educational Qualification (min) : B.Tech , Degree in Environmental Science / Energy Management
- Preferred Certifications if any Masters / Certification in Sustainability, Carbon Accounting.
Experience :
- 10-18 Years
- 5-6 years of experience in Logistics industry preferred.
