Suspension Engineer

Job Description:

• Detail design of Suspension sub-systems and Suspension components
• Creation of SOR/RFI documents for proprietary parts if required
• System layout & envelope creation.
• System design finalization considering packaging & performance requirements
• Review the sub systems with supporting CAD engineer/s
• Conduct GD & T, DFMEA & DVPs.
• Participate in weekly project discussion with OEM customer & other stake holders
• Provide inputs to cross function team and continuous follow up with team for the closure of points
• Participate in DMU review
• Root cause analysis of build & testing issues and implementation of suitable solution
• Handle team of 2-5 design engineers
• Knowledge/ hands-on on Field issue resolution
• Understanding of CAE analysis and material selection process
• Coordinate the change management
• Work experience in Passenger Cars / Commercial Vehicles suspension design
• Hands on Design experience on Catia.
• Exposure to Passenger segment sub- systems like front steering, Axle, suspension.
• Sound knowledge about calculations, material grades, processes manufacturing processes, different material grades used for automotive applications
• Knowledge in BOM,GD&T, DFMEA, DVVP & DFA
