Name of position: Business Developer - Petrochemical

Reporting: Business Development Director


Overview

The Business Developer is a senior technical sales role. As a BD you will be focusing on a portfolio of Accounts (Owner, EPCs, Consultants, Sub-contractors) important for the Hilti business. You will create a strategy and lead its execution to increase utilization of our technical solutions by our customers. You will also coordinate projects in capture teams with worldwide Hilti team participation.


What does the role involve?

  • Accountable for the Development of accounts operating in Petrochemical business through account development, standardization, project specification, sales development (direct or indirect) and multi-level relationship management with a view of increasing our business with the accounts.
  • Accountable for the development of the strategy of the assigned accounts, leading its implementation globally through Hilti counterparts.
  • Maintain effective communication throughout the team and company and acting as single owner of assigned accounts
  • Achieve Hilti standards & specifications with key customer accounts to drive sales growth
  • Drive achievement of specified product sales targets with assigned accounts
  • Define the integration to Hilti business model and the ability to differentiate from competitors
  • Support customers on technical topics related to our products

What do you need to succeed?

  • Communication skills: Creation of trust through active listening, influencing with leadership, commercial and technical negotiation skills.
  • Industry knowledge and experience: Familiar with the Indian Petrochemical industry landscape (specifiers, contractors, consultants), experience working with government bodies on technical topics, god understanding of the tender management processes.
  • Technical know-how in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering and ability/willingness to develop further in those areas.
  • Able to influence internal and external stakeholders around the strategy while understanding external stakeholders pain points and trends to adjust it if need be.
  • Self-driven and able to work autonomously: Create own planning and execute to reach the targets.
  • Actively looking for new businesses and product gaps in current Hilti offerings and feedback to the organization.
  • Relationship management: Capable and confident while speaking and connecting to different levels in the assigned account structure.
  • Placed in Mumbai or Vadodara and willing to travel frequently.
