1. TBM Operation and Supervision:
Machine Operation: Oversee the operation of Tunnel Boring Machines, ensuring they are functioning optimally during tunneling operations.
System Monitoring: Continuously monitor TBM parameters, such as pressure, torque, and speed, to ensure the machine is working within operational specifications.
Coordination with Site Team: Coordinate with other engineers and site personnel to ensure that tunneling work progresses according to the project plan.
2. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Problem Solving: Provide on-site support to resolve any technical issues or malfunctions of the TBM, which could include issues with the cutting head, drive systems, or other mechanical/electrical components.
Maintenance and Repairs: Lead the routine maintenance of TBMs and identify any parts that require repair or replacement to minimize downtime.
Optimization: Suggest improvements or modifications to the TBM operation to optimize performance, including adjusting machine parameters, changing cutting tools, or refining tunnel design specifications.
