Job Role:
This role will be responsible for:
- Planning & ensure all Zonal market development activities are conducted as per plan & budget to promote increase awareness about value proposition of existing/new products
- Develop connect with key sub-dealers/retailers in zone to update on new products and track liquidation of the products
- Attend group meetings of KOLs/Crop Heroes/progressive farmers & build rapport with key institutions in local farming community
- Review, monitoring & capability building of Field Business Manager / Marketing & Sales Team.
Key Accountabilities & Outcomes:
- Attend zonal review meetings regularly.
- Offer technical marketing advice to area managers.
- Submit marketing plans, bills, and reports regularly.
- Provide feedback on farmer needs and competitor products.
- Participate in the selection and sourcing of Sales Promoters, including engaging with KVks and agricultural colleges if needed.
- Plan annual/monthly market development activities for each of the zone/focus crops & products.
- Set measurable milestones for progress tracking.
- Plan & monitor large scale farmer demonstration & trials for new product launch in coordination with Crop Agronomist
Building relationships & Network:
- Attend meetings to motivate Crop Heroes and experts to become Ambassadors.
- Connect with area experts for involvement in farmer programs.
- Build trust in product performance through scientific trial results.
- Develop rapport with key farming institutions and coordinate with Marketing Managers.
- Gather and validate market intelligence on and competitor products.
- Collect and organize farmer data for targeted messaging
- Monitor and manage local retailers/sub-dealers, ensuring stock oversight and tracking their sales.
- Address technical queries from retailers/sub-dealers.
- Raise awareness of new/existing and brands among key accounts.
- Review, monitoring & capability building of Field Team.
- Ensure coverage of key areas by Field Teams according to a plan.
- Assess and arrange training for Area Marketing Managers.
- Provide weekly market development and sales reports to the Marketing Services Manager.
- Gather and share market intelligence with Zonal Marketing Officers
