Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual Testing (3-8 yrs)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Manual QA Tester to join our quality assurance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by conducting rigorous testing and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review and analyze software requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create detailed and comprehensive test plans.

- Design, execute, and document test cases for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

- Identify, report, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.

- Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and improve product quality.

- Validate defect fixes and perform retesting to ensure issues are resolved.

- Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing valuable input on test strategies and risks.

- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test scripts, test data, and test results.

- Collaborate with automation testers to identify areas for automation and streamline the QA process.

Skills and Qualifications :

Technical Proficiency :

- In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

- Strong ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and defect reports.

- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail) and bug-tracking systems.

- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and basic SQL queries for database validation (preferred).

Soft Skills :

- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team

members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

- Knowledge of testing methodologies across different platforms (web, mobile, desktop).

- Exposure to or experience with automation testing tools and techniques.
