Title: Assistant Miller Flour Mill

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Miller to oversee the milling operations of the flour mill. The Assistant Miller will be responsible for managing the milling process, ensuring product quality, optimizing production, and maintaining the efficient operation of milling machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in milling technology, leadership experience, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

Operations management: Operation of the plant as per the given schedule with minimum downtime, oversee the entire milling process, from grain reception to flour packaging.

Quality control & assurance: Checking the product quality and extraction at regular intervals as per the company and industry standards.

Equipment maintenance & optimization: Supervision of maintenance and repair of machinery for safe and smooth operation of mill in shifts.

Staff supervision & training: Lead, guide, train and overall manage the milling team to enhance skills and performance improvements. Manpower handling in shifts as per assured safety standards.

Health, safety & compliance: Ensure compliance as per safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety inspections and provide trainings as per requirements. Maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness.

Cost control & efficiency: Management of production costs, resource utilization, and reduce waste and enhancement of milling efficiency.

Reporting & documentation: Record maintenance related to production, inventory, and any incidents. Report the same to the management regarding performance, challenges, and new opportunities.

Planning and implementation of maintenance schedule: of plan shifters Purifiers, fluting scheme with Roll changing, Filters and other milling machines. Implementing Flour Silos management including hygiene, fumigation etc

Key skills:

• Strong knowledge of milling equipment, processes, and technology.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, and HACCP.
• Ability to manage production schedules and optimize operational efficiency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Food Science, Milling Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in milling may be considered.
