Role and Responsibilities / KRAs

• Financial Planning / Budgeting / Policy & Processes
• Lead the complete financial planning and budgeting activity for all wings under the DPSGS umbrella in the most timely and professional manner.
• Ensure complete internal controls and visibility to all stakeholders on the budgeted vs. actual expense out in the Company.
• Propose and execute all Finance & Accounts specific policies / processes in the Company.
• Own all financial statements including but not limited to Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow etc. and ensure that they are prepared in time always following all requisite controls and standards.
• Accounting and Payables
• Lead and manage the complete accounting and payables functions of all wings under the DPSGS ambit.
• Ensure adherence to the GAAP, standards prescribed by the accounting bodies in India.
• Ensure timely vendor payouts post verifying all compliances maintaining highest vendor satisfaction.
• Engage with all internal / external stakeholders building visibility on the payables and receivables processes to help build the most professional and ethical image of the DPSGS among all its vendors and stakeholders.
• Banking and Collections
• Ensure end-to-end management, operations and compliance of the banking function.
• Maintain highest standards of client engagement with all associated Banks of the Organizationin the most professional and integral way.
• Ensure timely collections and deposits of all Schools fees and build internal checks and controls on the Company’s revenue collection and monitoring.

• Audits and compliance
• Ensure 100% compliance to all financial aspects including but not limited to TDS, GST and / or statutory compliance like PF, ESI etc.
• Lead and manage complete internal and statutory audits related to the Finance & Accounts function.
• Taxation, Assessments and Credit Ratings
• Represent and lead all taxation and related assessment including but not limited to income tax, GST etc.
• Ensure highest possible credit ratings of the DPSGS all times.
• Finance Systems & Digitalization
• Digitalization of existing finance processes such as changes in SMS & digitalization of manual requisitions
• Lead and execute digitization of internal processes and payouts.
• Responsible for digital platform and systems development and their maintenance ensuring all compliance and operations requirements.
• Organization initiatives
• Ensure participation in at least 2-3 organization initiatives becoming the front face of the function and adding value by making presence felt.
• Personal and Team Development
• Ensure all personal development goals as agreed in discussion with the reporting manager are met before close of the assessment year.
• Further seek guidance and take initiative on becoming more visible participating in key discussion and supporting the Vice Chairman to accomplish the Company’s vision.
• Conduct periodic gap analysis of the entire finance team and take action on skill upgrade / training for all members of the team on any new rules of Finance, Tax etc.
• Share periodic update with the VC about the overall team health and motivation and be responsible for the top performers retention.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• University degree, CA and MBA (preferable)
• 10-15 years of experience in the service or education industry with 5-7 years of experience in senior role managing the overall finance function of the organization.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum 10 years of experience.
