Job Purpose -

HDFC Bank has huge volume of data, both structured and unstructured, and we are focused on creating assets out of data and deriving best value from the data for the Bank. The Data Quality Head (DQH) for is responsible for ensuring data is of the highest quality and is fit for purpose to meet the business, reporting (Internal and Regulatory) and analytics uses and/or use cases The DQH will work to identify and prioritize opportunities for data quality improvement, develop strategic mitigation plans and coordinates remediation activities with various stakeholders within the bank, who generate, manage use data. The person will have a big role in converting data, both internal and external, to core and critical assets for the Bank

Key Responsibility Areas -

• Define, execute, and embed the data quality end to end strategy for the Bank - Defining the Data Quality metrics for the data of the Bank along with creation of Data Quality scorecard for Critical Data of the Bank
• Ensure that data quality guidance and direction is applied throughout the entire data lifecycle, most importantly upfront, through the vision and roadmaps for solutions that seek to leverage data and data services. Build the foundations and framework to implement sound governance of data quality
• Providing inputs and recommendation on continuous improvement of all Data Governance policies, procedures, processes, standards and control pertaining to Data Quality - Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT
• Follow standards, policies, and processes regarding data quality management - Work closely with the Azure team and related IT partnering teams within the Bank to continuously upscale Data Quality.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive a cultural shift around data and need for Data Quality within the organization - Quantify the impact in business value terms (revenue/cost/loss) of the improvement in Data Quality or the lack of it
• Building a strong and capable Data Quality Team

Education Qualification - Masters in Engineering/Technology, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, etc.

Experience Required -

• 15 years + total work experience
• 10+ years of experience in Banking and Financial services
• At least 10+ experience in Data Quality across the Data lifecycle
• Experience of working in large, matrix organization
• Experience in managing mid-size/large teams
• Experience in implementing Data Quality Tools, Experience in Informatica IDQ will be preferred
• Exposure of working in Cloud environment will be an added advantage
