AI - ML Developer (Computer Vision)

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Developer specializing in computer vision to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying computer vision models and solutions for image and video analysis, object detection, and pattern recognition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, a deep understanding of computer vision techniques, and expertise in working with both 2D and 3D visual data.

Technical Skills:

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python; familiarity with C++ is a plus.
• Deep Learning Frameworks: Extensive experience with deep learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Computer Vision Libraries: Proficiency with OpenCV, Dlib, and Scikit-image for image and video processing.
• Image and Video Processing: Strong skills in data preprocessing, augmentation techniques, and data annotation tools (e.g., Labelbox, Supervisely).
• Model Architectures: Familiarity with CNNs (e.g., ResNet, VGG), R-CNN, YOLO, Mask R-CNN, and other architectures specific to object detection and segmentation.
• 3D Data Handling: Experience with 3D computer vision techniques (e.g., point clouds, 3D object detection) and frameworks like Open3D or PointNet is a plus.
• Optimization and Acceleration: Knowledge of model optimization techniques, such as quantization, pruning, and knowledge of deploying models on edge devices.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS (SageMaker).
• APIs and Integrations: Experience with RESTful APIs and building custom APIs for model deployment.
• Version Control and Collaboration: Proficient with Git for version control and comfortable working in collaborative development environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop computer vision models for various applications, such as object detection, image segmentation, classification, and facial recognition.
• Implement deep learning models using state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques.
• Optimise models for performance and accuracy, deploying them in production environments.
• Process and analyse large image and video datasets, including data preprocessing, augmentation, and annotation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate computer vision solutions into broader AI and software products.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in computer vision and evaluate their practical applicability.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and improve model performance and accuracy through rigorous testing and iterative optimization.
• Develop tools and pipelines for the efficient handling of large-scale visual data.

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in video analytics, action recognition, and multi-object tracking.
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning techniques as applied to computer vision tasks.
• Familiarity with edge deployment frameworks like NVIDIA TensorRT, OpenVINO, or Coral.
• Strong understanding of ethical considerations, including privacy, bias, and fairness in AI applications.
