JOB TITLE/DESIGNATION Research Analyst
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join our Wealth Management division. This role demands a candidate with a strong research acumen, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to deliver actionable insights for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and wealth management practices. You will work closely with portfolio managers, client relationship managers, and senior leadership to guide investment decisions and provide thought leadership within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on investment products, financial markets, economic trends, and asset classes, with a focus on equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and real estate.
Investment Strategy Support: Collaborate with portfolio managers to support investment strategy development and portfolio construction for high-net-worth clients.
Market Trends & Insights: Provide timely and relevant insights on market developments, economic conditions, and investment opportunities to inform decision-making.
Client Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and insightful research reports and presentations for clients, senior management, and internal stakeholders.
Data Interpretation: Analyze financial data, model various investment scenarios, and present findings in a way that is actionable for wealth managers and clients.
Investment Research Models: Develop and refine quantitative and qualitative models to support asset allocation and risk management decisions.
Thought Leadership: Stay current with market trends, financial innovations, and regulatory changes. Contribute to the firm's thought leadership by publishing reports, research notes, and market commentary.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams (e.g., client advisory, portfolio management, risk management) to ensure a unified approach to client wealth management and investment strategies.
Key Requirements:
Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in a research-oriented role within wealth management, asset management, or investment banking. Strong focus on equity research, fixed income, or multi-asset class strategies.
Education: Strong academic background with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields from a reputable institution. CFA, FRM, or MBA (with a focus on Finance) is preferred.
Technical Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet, Thomson Reuters, or similar).
Research Acumen: Deep knowledge of financial instruments, market dynamics, and economic factors influencing wealth management and investment strategies.
Pedigree: Proven experience at a well-regarded institution, demonstrating strong analytical and research skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and investment strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: A demonstrated ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and make recommendations based on thorough research.
