Position Overview:
The Zonal Head - North will be responsible for driving AstaGuru's strategic vision and sales growth in the Northern region. This leadership role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and deep knowledge of the art and collectibles market. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of our business strategy, lead a high-performing sales team, and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement the regional business strategy in alignment with AstaGuru's overall goals and objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth and enhance market share in the North zone.
2. Sales Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of sales professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and resources needed to succeed.
- Set clear sales targets and KPIs, regularly monitoring performance and providing constructive feedback to enhance productivity.
3. Market Analysis and Business Development:
- Conduct thorough market research to analyze customer preferences, competitive landscape, and emerging trends within the art and collectibles sector.
- Develop strategies to tap into new customer segments and enhance engagement with existing clients.
4. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, collectors, galleries, and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through personalized service and engagement.
5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure the successful execution of regional initiatives.
- Collaborate on marketing campaigns, events, and promotions to boost brand visibility and drive auction participation.
6. Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor sales performance and market conditions, preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
7. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the regional budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field; an MBA is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in a senior sales or business development role, preferably within the art, luxury goods, or collectibles industries or BFSI
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on achieving sales targets.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the art and collectibles market, including trends, valuation, and client dynamics.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Passion for Art: A genuine passion for art and culture, with an understanding of its impact on society and the market.
