Market Head - Sales
Job Description:
Business Plan, Sales Strategy and Delivery:
- Support the CSO & Regional CEO in preparation of long term business plan, annual sales strategy, including action plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence for assigned region.
- Direct the team's efforts towards consistent sourcing and closing to acquire new business and achieve sales targets.
- Actively follow through on potential deals, play a key role during various stages of customer engagement till delivery and provide guidance for query resolution.
- Explore how we can derive further data-based insights and generate business opportunities from our existing systems.
- Guide the team to leverage data analytics and incorporate the same in their work.
- Collaborate closely with key departments such as marketing and design to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and ensure seamless execution.
Industry Awareness:
- Maintain product knowledge, competitor knowledge and a strong understanding of the industry landscape (including price movements, construction activity, key trends and market dynamics) at all times, percolating the same to the entire team.
- Network effectively with peer teams and industry contacts to stay updated on key trends, developments, market dynamics and potential business opportunities. Liaison with various departments to get deeper product knowledge.
Collaboration and Team Management:
- Assign targets for various team leads, monitor their performance and to ensure that they consistently achieve their targets.
- Provide ongoing guidance to the team to ensure they are well equipped to meet business objectives. Ensure the team is engaged, motivated and consistently driven towards achieving set targets.
- Monitor weekly and monthly progress, analyze gaps and suggest improvement areas. Conduct performance discussions regularly, providing feedback and handling team concerns and escalations.
- Consistently work with peers to strengthen overall business development process and ensure a smooth customer experience.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure highest standards of compliance and ethics to Lodha Group's policies, processes and value structure.
- Improve lead management process and TATs, adopt best practices and monitor quality of customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records for designated accounts and share regular updates with the CSO & Regional CEO.
- Maintain thorough adherence to SFDC and lead tracking mechanisms as required.
Candidate best suited for this role:
- MBA/PG from Tier I institute with 20+ years of experience, preferably in BFSI or consumer companies. Experience of handling large sales teams.
- Knowledge of distribution, marketing and consumer understanding would play a very critical role.
- Possesses an 'entrepreneurial spirit' and passion towards business building, innovation and management of large scale efforts.
- Strong conceptual and problem solving skills with a practical sense.
- High motivation levels with a 'can do' attitude.
- Strong sense of ethics and desire to work in a values-driven environment.
