Physiotherapist

Job Purpose

To provide specialized physiotherapy services to athletes and trainees, ensuring their physical health, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, thereby enhancing their performance and overall well-being.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to identify athletes physical condition, injuries, and fitness levels.
• Design and implement customized rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
• Use manual therapy, exercise programs, and other techniques to aid recovery.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments as required.
• Develop and oversee injury prevention programs tailored to the sports and activities at the academy.
• Educate athletes on proper techniques, warm-ups, and stretching exercises.
• Collaborate with coaches to integrate physiotherapy practices into training routines to enhance performance.
• Provide recommendations for improving strength, flexibility, and endurance.
• Advise athletes on nutrition, posture, lifestyle, and other factors to maintain optimal physical health.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation progress.
• Provide on-field physiotherapy support during training sessions and competitions.
• Handle sports-related injuries promptly and efficiently.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of sports injuries and rehabilitation techniques.
• Expertise in manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT). A Master’s degree (MPT) in Sports Physiotherapy is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a physiotherapist, preferably in a sports or athletic environment.
