Refrigeration Operator - Karur Noyyal

Job Description:

• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Operate a Freon / Ammonia based system with supervision on shift and report any unusual conditions promptly to supervisor.
• Understands and follows safe work practices dealing with hazardous materials for ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems.
• Safely operate equipment such as evaporators, condensers, cooling towers equipment,
• Assist operations in shut down and start-up of freezers, blast cells, processing area temperature controls Also be able to pump down and defrost systems..
• Monitor and record system information as necessary, report any abnormal conditions, and ensure proper communication to the manager.
• Perform proper Lock-out/Tag-out procedures when working on equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems
• Mounts compressor and condenser unit on platform or floor, using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications.
• Cut and bend tubing to correct length and shape, using cutting and bending equipment and tools.
• Observed pressure and vacuum gauges and adjust controls to ensure proper operation.
• Tests joints and connection for gas leaks, using gauges or soap-and water solution.
