Job Description

ROLE:

To contribute to the overall development,implementation and monitoring of the specific subjects, conduct academic audits, supervise assessment modules and conduct performance analysis.

DESCRIPTION:

Curriculum Development and Planning: Collaborate with teachers to develop and update the curriculum for the assigned subject. Ensure that the curriculum aligns with educational standards and school objectives.
Teacher Support and Professional Development: Provide guidance and support to teachers within the subject area. Organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance teachers skills. Conduct regular observations and evaluations to ensure effective teaching practices.
Resource Management: Coordinate the allocation and use of resources such as textbooks, teaching materials, and technology for the subject. Stay updated on new educational resources and tools.
Assessment and Evaluation: Oversee the development and implementation of assessments within the subject area. Analyze assessment data and provide feedback to teachers for improvement.
Student Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and achievement within the subject area. Implement strategies to support students who may be struggling academically.
Communication with Stakeholders: Communicate with teachers, parents, students, and other stakeholders about the curriculum, student performance, and educational initiatives. Conduct regular teacher mentoring meetings to discuss student progress and strategies..
Collaboration with Other Subject Coordinators: Work collaboratively with other subject coordinators and school administrators to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experience. Coordinate interdisciplinary projects and activities.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the subject area. Implement measures to enhance the overall quality of education in the subject.
Professional Development Planning: Stay informed about developments in education and the specific subject area. Recommend and organize professional development opportunities for teachers.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to student performance and other relevant metrics. Prepare reports and presentations on the subject area for school leadership.
Problem-Solving: Address challenges or issues related to the subject area, curriculum, or teacher performance. Collaborate with colleagues to find effective solutions.
Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Ensure that all activities within the subject area comply with school policies and procedures. Implement any changes in educational policies or guidelines.
Innovation and Educational Trends: Stay abreast of educational trends, innovations, and best practices. Integrate new and effective teaching methodologies into the subject area.
Leadership and Team Collaboration: Provide leadership within the subject department. Collaborate with other school leaders on broader educational initiatives.


Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:
Graduate/Post Graduate in Computer Science

Experience: Minimum 2-4 years, handling Computer Science in Primary School Level

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with teachers and students.
Effective classroom management skills.
Proficiency in using educational technology and classroom tools.
Commitment to professional growth and developme nt.
Knowledge of the cognitive, emotional, and social development of adolescents.
Convey information clearly and empathetically to teachers, students, parents, and administration.
Deep knowledge of the specific subject being taught, staying updated with the latest in the field.
Understand methods to integrate subjects for a holistic education, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for students.Guide students in maintaining discipline, engagement, and a positive learning environment.
Ability to evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Work effectively with other teachers, staff, and administration to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, technologies, and professional development opportunities.
