Job Description
- The Experienced Graphic Designer for the school is responsible for creating visually engaging and effective design materials that support the educational institutions brand, communication, and marketing efforts. This role involves collaborating with various departments to develop creative solutions that enhance the schools visual identity.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design:
- Conceptualize and create visually appealing designs for print and digital materials, including brochures, banners, posters, social media graphics, and other promotional materials.
- Ensure all design elements align with the schools brand guidelines.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, admissions, academic, and other departments to understand design needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with content creators and other stakeholders to bring concepts to life.
Brand Management:
- Uphold and reinforce the schools brand identity through consistent design across all materials.
- Provide guidance on design standards to maintain a cohesive visual presence.
- Multimedia Design:
- Create engaging multimedia content, including animations and videos, to support various communication channels.
- Stay updated on multimedia design trends and technologies.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
- Work within project timelines and budgets.
Print Production:
- Liaise with external vendors for print production, ensuring print materials meet quality standards.
- Review and approve proofs before final production.
Photography and Image Editing:
- Capture and edit high-quality photographs for use in marketing materials.
- Ensure all images align with the schools visual style.
Adaptability:
- Adapt designs for various platforms, including social media, websites, and print media.
- Stay informed about design trends and implement innovative and creative ideas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a graphic designer, preferably in an educational or related setting.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with video editing and animation software.
- Knowledge of web design principles and experience designing for online platforms.
- Familiarity with the unique visual communication needs of educational institutions.
