Sales Head - General Trade

Job Description:

The General Trade Head at Happilo International will be responsible for driving sales strategies and ensuring their successful implementation across India to achieve the desired business objectives. This role will play a critical part in shaping Happilo's market presence and profitability on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for the general trade market across India.
• Oversee the General Trade on a Pan India level.
• Manage a team of 50+ individuals spread across various regions.
• Drive significant business growth across India.
• Launch new categories and product lines across multiple channels and regions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders across India.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities nationwide to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve outcomes on a national scale.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to increase brand awareness and market penetration across India.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout all regions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12+ years of post-MBA experience.
• Solid experience in handling Retail/General Trade for new-age FMCG, FMCD, or comes from an omnichannel D2C brand.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets on a national level.
• Strong understanding of the general trade market in India.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience in managing large and diverse teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.
