Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead ServiceNow Developer with 8-10 years
of overall development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a lead
developer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, SPM, and
CSM modules. The role involves leading development teams, designing solutions, and
ensuring the successful delivery of complex ServiceNow implementations and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Development Leadership:
o Lead a team of developers, provide mentorship, and ensure best practices in
coding and solution design.
o Manage development activities, including task allocation, code review, and
ensuring adherence to project timelines.
2. Solution Design:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and
translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
o Design and develop custom applications, integrations, and workflows on the
ServiceNow platform.
3. Module Expertise:
o ITSM: Implement Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service
Request modules.
o ITOM: Configure Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and
Orchestration.
o SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management): Customize Project, Demand, and
Resource Management modules.
o CSM (Customer Service Management): Implement and enhance customer
workflows, case management, and integrations.
4. Integrations:
o Develop integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID
Servers, and webhooks.
o Ensure secure and efficient data exchange between ServiceNow and external
systems.
5. Customization and Automation:
o Create and enhance business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and flow
designer processes.
o Implement automation and orchestration solutions to optimize operational
efficiency.
6. Performance Optimization:
o Monitor and optimize platform performance to ensure high availability and
responsiveness.
o Resolve technical issues and perform root cause analysis to improve system
reliability.
7. Governance and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with security, quality, and change management standards.
o Maintain proper documentation of customizations, integrations, and solutions.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to
align technical solutions with business goals.
o Conduct demos, presentations, and user training sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Education:
Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or a related field.
2. Experience:
o 8-10 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
o At least 3 years of experience in a lead developer role, managing and
mentoring teams.
3. Technical Skills:
o Proficient in JavaScript, AngularJS, and ServiceNow development
frameworks.
o Strong understanding of ITIL processes and frameworks.
o Hands-on experience with ITOM, ITSM, SPM, and CSM modules.
o Expertise in ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and MID
Server configurations.
o Familiarity with performance optimization techniques, instance security, and
ACL configuration.
4. Certifications (Preferred):
o Certified Application Developer (CAD).
o Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, SPM).
o ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.
5. Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead technical
discussions.
Preferred Knowledge:
ï• Knowledge of CMDB best practices, data certification, and health configurations.
ï• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
ï• Understanding of Service Portal development and custom widgets.
