Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Development Engineer to drive the design, development, and testing of LED drivers and electronic circuits used in lighting products, and electrical accessories. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers, ensuring innovation, efficiency, and compliance with the latest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development:
• Lead the design and development of LED drivers, power supplies, and electronic control circuits for lighting products.
• Oversee the design of control circuits for lighting, and electrical accessories, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Ensure products meet performance, efficiency, and reliability targets through thorough testing and validation.
2. Team Leadership:
• Manage and mentor a team of hardware engineers and technicians.
• Provide technical guidance on circuit design, power electronics, and product optimization.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as industrial design, software, and manufacturing to ensure smooth product development cycles.
3. Design Optimization:
• Focus on the optimization of power electronics, efficiency improvements, thermal management, and component selection for LED drivers.
• Implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining high product quality and longevity.
4. Project Management:
• Plan and lead multiple projects from concept to production, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Work closely with procurement and manufacturing teams to source components and scale production.
• Maintain project documentation, including design specifications, technical data sheets, and test results.
5. Compliance and Testing:
• Ensure all LED drivers, circuits, and power supplies meet global standards such as CE, UL, RoHS, and Energy Star.
• Oversee safety compliance, thermal testing, and regulatory approvals.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive testing protocols (thermal management, stress testing, efficiency evaluation, and durability).
6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
• Research and integrate emerging technologies in power electronics and energy-efficient systems.
• Drive continuous improvement in product performance, cost, and quality.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 12-20 years of experience in the design and development of LED drivers, power electronics, or related circuits, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
• Skills:

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong expertise in power electronics, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, and switching mode power supplies.
• Hands-on experience in designing LED drivers, and related electronic circuits.
• Knowledge of safety standards, EMI/EMC testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in circuit simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, Altium, LTSpice).
• Experience in thermal management of electronic systems.
