Raw Material Executive

Job Title: Junior Raw Material Purchase Executive

Department: Procurement
Reporting To: Procurement Manager
Location: Lower Parel

Salary Package: 2.0lpa to 3.5lpa

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Sourcing and Procurement:
• Assist in sourcing raw materials required for pharmaceutical production.
• Coordinate purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
2. Vendor Coordination:
• Communicate with existing suppliers for order placement and delivery schedules.
• Assist in vendor documentation and basic evaluations.
3. Inventory Support:
• Work with the inventory team to track stock levels and report shortages.
• Making of PO through SAP.
• Assist in planning procurement to avoid production delays.
4. Quality and Compliance:
• Ensure received materials meet basic quality specifications as per the companys standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team for material inspection and approval.
5. Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
• Update the ERP system or procurement software with order details and stock updates.
6. Market Research:
• Support in gathering market insights on pricing trends and supplier options.
• Provide data for analysis to optimize costs and improve vendor selection.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience:
  0-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of pharmaceutical raw materials and APIs.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP systems, and SAP.
• Soft Skills:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.

• Timeliness in purchase order execution.
• Accuracy of procurement records.
• Reduction in follow-ups required for deliveries.
• Coordination efficiency with suppliers and internal teams.
