Aws Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructures. This role requires expertise in AWS services, DevOps practices, and cloud architecture to meet the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-availability cloud solutions using AWS services.
• Implement best practices for security, cost optimization, and performance.

2. Automation and DevOps

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.

3. Monitoring and Optimization

• Monitor cloud resources and applications to ensure optimal performance using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools.
• Optimize cloud workloads for performance and cost efficiency.

4. Security and Compliance

• Implement security controls and governance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Manage identity and access using AWS IAM policies, roles, and permissions.

5. Troubleshooting and Support

• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure issues.
• Resolve incidents and implement preventive measures for cloud systems.

6. Collaboration and Documentation

• Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Document infrastructure designs, processes, and standards for future reference.

7. Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.

8. Develop automation scripts using Python to streamline deployment processes.

9. Monitor application performance using AWS CloudWatch and troubleshoot issues as needed.

10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in existing systems.

11. Ensure compliance with security best practices and maintain accurate documentation of all configurations.

12. Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, EBS, ALB/NLB, IAM etc.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS).
• Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, routing, VPN).

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Developer.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with databases and storage solutions (SQL, NoSQL, Redshift).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
