We are looking for Manager/Sr.Manager- Imports for Chennai Location

Role & responsibilities :

SUPPLIER IDENTIFICATION & PRICE FINALISATION:

• Interact with various suppliers to get their payment terms, shipment schedule, markings in cartons / bags etc.,
• Place order through mail.
• Review the Sales Contract received from supplier for adequacy.
• Shippers Data-Clearance/Payments.

IMPORT MANAGEMENT:

• Manage the movement of import products/materials in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country and international law and process.
• Manage the necessary documentation and forms for the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all import activities.
• Deliver the documents to the customs clearance agency and follow up with them till the arrival of the goods.
• Manage financial and currency processes and transactions in accordance with policy and law, and to optimize cost-effectiveness of activities.
• Custom duty for goods clearance for Basics, , P.Q & PHO (SAD WILL NOT APPLY DUE TO IGST INTRODUCTION)
• DEPB (Duty Entitlement Pass Book) license purchase
• Bench mark updation for Document retirement as well as for planning of funds.
• Order placing and approval of FSSAI Marks/Brand Logo in Cartons, bags, packs etc. to be ensured.
• Debit Note cum Claims.

BANK / CUSTOMS COORDINATION

• Receivable of Debit Advice & Swift copy from Banker
• Coordination with shipper for shipments, Packings, Marks, Documents etc.
• Retiring original Documents from Bank
• Submitting copy of documents / MRN / Costing with due checking and approval to Finance Dept. for purchase entry (Original CHA Bills submission to Accounts)

CHA COORDINATION

• Get information from CHA on future changes in import laws and in relevant local territory practices, and ensure such knowledge is factored into the planning of the department's own strategy, resources and procedures.
• Ensuring CHA expenses and Ledger statement
• Original document submission to CHA
• Avail duty structure from CHA for New shipment
• Approving Bill of Entry checklist.

CBN COORDINATION

• Application for availing Permit for Import of Poppy Seeds
• Submission of Poppy Seeds Copy Documents to Central Bureau Gwalior
• Surrendering the Original Permit to CBN after Utilization.
• Maintain register for import of poppy seeds
