Snowflake Data Engineer

Snowflake Data Engineer with 4-10 years of experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on expertise with Snowflake. The ideal candidate must have strong proficiency in SQL and a deep understanding of Snowflakes advanced features. Experience with SQL Server to Snowflake migrations using Fivetran and familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as SSIS, SSAS, and SSMS will be preferred. Excellent communication skills, positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving are critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Azure, DBT, Snowflake.

Optimize query performance and data storage within the Snowflake environment.

Design and implement ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are met.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4-10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
• In-depth understanding of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Familiarity with Microsoft suite of technologies (SSIS, SSAS, SSMS).
• Knowledge/Understanding of Infra as code tools like Terraform.
• Experience working with GitHub actions and Understanding of CICD.
• Experience working with Workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, positive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in data build tool (dbt) for data transformation and modeling
• Experience with Fivetran for data integration and ELT processes
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Snowflake SnowPro, AWS, Azure)
