Quality Assurance Manager

Role & responsibilities

Develop and implement quality systems, manuals and procedures to comply with ISO 9001, PED, ATEX, customer and other regulatory

requirements.

 Perform internal audits and reports to management on the effectiveness of the QMS and suggestions for improvement.

 Perform system audits of other company facilities and suppliers.

 Represent Company in regulatory and customer audits, facility surveys and third party inspections.

 Facilitate and coordinate resolution of technical problems with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers and sales personnel.

 Maintain corrective action program and facilitate the resolution of nonconformities.

 Supervise, assist, and advise all inspectors and QEs as needed. Evaluate and document QA personnel performance. Provide backup for

inspection personnel as required.

 Provide input for Quality Department budgeting, capital needs and long range planning.

 Maintain calibration and control system for all precision measuring and test equipment.

 Develop, implement and maintain company-wide safety/health program.

 Ensure compliance to regulatory agencies, documented procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.

 Provide training programs and instruction to employees.

 Coordinate and conduct accident investigations and take corrective action.

 Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need.

Preferred candidate profile

 Strong computer skills sufficient to successfully use company ERP

system, MS Office, and to mine and analyze data

 Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and

application (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Principles)

 Math and calculation

 Problem solving and formulations

 Reasoning and analyzing

 Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations

 Effective verbal and written communication and

presentation skills

 Well developed planning and organizational skills

 Knowledge of applicable certification standards and codes
